As you can clearly see when you compare the latest overview of the Toon Studios taken from the Flying Carpets on January 30 with earlier photos published in the past days work is now picking up to finalize the look of the first elements. More plants are added nearly daily (especially palm trees near the Oasis) and even the wall closing off the Toon Studios at its back already got painted.
But just when we thought that would be all to report today, Japper and thebatman_1 surprised with exciting new photos they posted over at magic forum run by fellow Disney fans. Japper was able to get a photo of the huge head / front half of the boddy of Bruce, the shark, who is supposed to menace guests on their way up the lift hill through the submarine. He also witnessed one of the currently taking place run-throughs with a ride vehicle and managed to film how it exit the opening close to the right end of the rockwork in the facade, zipped through teh rockwork to the left and disapeared again - or just take a look at the video yourself!
In the meantime thebatman_1 had the luck to be on-site today, when workers installed a huge poster covering the front of the small building placed in front of Studio 5 (behind /above the rockwork). The poster features a giant drawing of Crush and his fellow sea turtles surfing on the current ... let's just hope that Imagineering has prepared a second copy in case the next storm tears it apart. After all the last heavy storm even managed to rip out and heavily damage the prints of Disney posters installed on the lighting towers along the parade route - which, by the way, with very few exceptions are now gone. The management is still not sure whether to produce new prints, leave the towers as they are or come up with something new.
