Disney's Sequoia Lodge was one of the first Disney Hotels in time for the start of the 15th anniversary celebrations that upgraded its information board in the lobby. Instead of magnet signs to indicate the weather forecast, opening times of the theme parks, restaurants, bars and entertainment offerings in the hotels now a new flat-screen brings the latest information featuring also short videos advertising the hotel restaurants as well as new offerings in the resort and upcoming features. Among the upcoming features of the parks already presented is not only the Toon Studios but also the Tower of Terror (opening early 2008 according to the spot). Certainly a great updated to the lobbies of all the Disney Hotels - and done in style, as the screens have been placed in fittingly themed frames.
Now the only question is: when will guests be able to access the loop shown on the screens also on their in-room-TVs? That would be especially helpful regarding parts like the weather forecast.
On another note the Resort continues to thrive to further improve it ecological balance - as not only shown during the earth day but also with small gestures as e.g. the solar panels that can be spotted on the buoys on Lake Disney to power their lights.
