Time for another construction update from the Walt Disney Studios Park. As the Toon Studios have opened and are in full operation there is barely anything to report from this area of the park - well, only that according to some reports yeelow/black striped barriers, reading "HOT SET" as found in the Backlot area of the park have been placed in front of Luigi and Guido as children had been climbing all over the replicas creating a safety risk.
But the real progress is to report from the area of the future Hollywood Boulevard and the Tower of Terror. Progress at the Tower of Terror structure is now already limited to cosmetic improvements. Lately the scorch marks have been added where the lightning is supposed to have stricken the building and resulted in the disappearance of several floors into another dimension. At this time those scorch marks still seem to have a bit of a purple colorcast. Further themeing was add all over the building, some of it barely noticeable as progress as crews are still busy all over the place.
Progress for the future Hollywood Boulevard is much easier to spot in comparison. Here the basic steel structures of the facades in front of the Tower of Terror toward Studio 1 have now been build upon with further steel structures clearly showing the three dimensional shapes of the building facade to be errected in the spot to host a food area similar to La Terrasse in the past. Also the first part of that steel structure has now been covered with what looks like dry-wall elements upon which the final facade should be created soon. Expect more visible progress in this area in the next weeks ... we'll keep you up to date!
