The Shareholders' Club has officially announced its preview event for the new Toon Studios area of the Walt Disney Studios Park to take place on Saturday June 2nd. The event is open to all members of the Shareholders' Club who held a valid membership card on May 1st (so if you are not already a member, joining up in a hurry won't help - sorry) and who register prior to May 25th on the according website. As the capacity is limited, interested members are encouraged to sign up early.
Each member can bring up to three friends or relatives along (the number must be specified during the registration process) as he will receive up to FOUR "Club passes" that grant access to the Toon Studios and its attractions. But note that these passes do NOT include entrance to the Walt Disney Studios Park (open that day from 10.00 am till 7.00 pm). Each member only receives TWO free 1-Day-Park-Hopper passports, so up to two members of the party need to buy their own passports for the theme park (shareholders' club members are granted 15% on these). Use of the main theme parks parking lot is free upon presentation of the Shareholders' Club card on June 2nd. Also to allow for a more leisurely way to enjoy the preview members can reserve up to two standard rooms with a 25% discount in Disney's Sequoia Lodge or Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch for June 2nd and 3rd (please note: rooms are subject to limited availability).
The schedule for the event is as follows: from 8.30 am till 1.00 pm registered members can pick up the "Club passes" and theme park passports at Donald ’s desk located at the Disneyland Park entrance (open that day from 10.00 am till 10.00 pm), in front of the Disneyland Hotel’s entrance and next to Salon Mickey and the Guest Relation window. Also registered members and their registered parties can enjoy free coffeebreaks at Salon Mickey from 9.00 am to 12.00 am and on the mezzanine of the restaurant En Coulisse (in Studio 1 in the Walt Disney Studios Park) from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. Access to these areas will be limited according to available space.
Then from 12.00 am till 3.00 pm the Toon Studios area will be privatized for registered members and parties. Only "Club pass"-holders will be allowed into the Toon Studios where they can reride CARS RACE RALLY as well as CRUSH'S COASTER as often as possible in the three hour time frame. So get ready to surfe the ocean's currents with Crush and race through the desert...
